"High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" Launching on Disney+


Before there was "Glee," "La La Land," "Pitch Perfect," and "Empire," there was "High School Musical." The iconic, two-time Emmy Award-winning trilogy, which began in 2006 with fresh-faced 18 year-old Zac Efron and 16 year-old Vanessa Hudgens, not only inspired a generation to engage in music, dance, theater and the arts, but it helped usher in an onslaught of other music-focused TV and film fare. It also portrayed kids, teens and tweens who had previously been relegated as outcasts or the "other," as normal and even cool!

Now, "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series," will premiere with the launch of Disney+ on November 12,
