Brand g Vacations, the #1 operator of luxury all-LGBT+ cruises and land tours, is proud to announce its 2024 Pacific Northwest Wine and History Cruise (June 2-10, 2024) to celebrate the region’s best red, white, and rosé wines.
On their first-ever U.S. cruise through this spectacular area, Brand g Vacations will be taking 217 guests on a luxury cruise that focuses on both American history and extraordinary wines. Guests can follow the trail of Lewis and Clark and the Native Americans as they sample vintages and learn a little history about the top U.S. wineries.
For this cruise, Brand g has chartered the American Empress river ship, a spectacular four-deck paddlewheeler. Decorated in Victorian style reminiscent of late 1800’s America, it features crystal chandeliers, polished woods, and all modern amenities. Cabins range from 170 to 428 square feet, nearly all with verandas – something of a rarity on river cruise ships. Onboard the Empress, guests will enjoy gourmet dining; and the foods are locally sourced, so fish, produce, etc. are incredibly fresh. Many of the wines served are also, of course, from local vintners, though California, French and other wines are also on offer.
Evenings will feature performances by Brand g’s Signature Entertainers. These shows, by top Broadway and cabaret performers as well as hilarious drag queens, are a highlight of every cruise and underscore Brand g’s commitment to world class entertainment.
Brand g will also be hosting an onboard wine expert for the duration of the cruise to help guests select daily wines and decide which wineries to visit on tour. The wine expert will offer presentations on wine, as well as helping to design the various wine-focused tours for Brand g’s guests.
If you aren’t a fan of wine, unlimited cocktails are, of course, included as well.
All Brand g trips are virtually all-inclusive, covering everything but airfare: pre-cruise hotel nights (where applicable), unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, shore excursions (which are almost never included on typical river or ocean cruises), airport transfers, and much more.
The 2024 Columbia River cruise begins with one pre-cruise night in Spokane, Washington, at the luxurious Historic Davenport Hotel, followed by a seven-night cruise, traveling from Clarkston, Washington (at the mouth of the Columbia and Snake rivers) through Oregon, and concluding in Vancouver, Washington.
The cruise will cover some of the most significant history of the U.S., along with the opportunity to visit extraordinary wineries along the route, like Basalt, Parejas, and many more. Guests will also sail through the spectacular Columbia River Gorge. Up to 4,000 feet deep, the Gorge stretches for more than 80 miles, and is a wonder of nature.
