Escape to St. Pete/Clearwater this Winter

The warm weather of St. Pete, Florida is sure to draw snowbirds that are looking to escape the cold weather and bask in the sun. Known for its booming arts & culture scene, the destination has various Museums to offer its visitors. The fan-favorite Dalí Museum takes visitors on a journey through the life and works of artist Salvador Dalí by encompassing paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures that reflect Dalí’s astonishing career. This past July, the Dalí Alive 360°, took over a new space at the Museum - The Dalí Dome. The new permanent exhibit welcomes visitors to experience a multi-sensory journey of artist Salvador Dalí’s life accomplishments with images being projected from the floor all the way to the top of the dome.

This January, St. Pete Shuffleboard Club will be celebrating its 100 years of operation! Head on over to the club, one of the original contributors for Shuffleboard, to experience the joy that Shuffleboard brings to the community. Known for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, guests can enjoy the beautiful weather of St. Pete while playing and socializing. The same week as its 100th anniversary, the club will also be hosting its 40th annual world championship! Whether you are a shuffleboard enthusiast or have never played before, the unique and historic attraction provides visitors with a fun and social activity to participate in. 

In addition to the club’s anniversary, the annual Tweed Ride will be returning on Saturday, January 20th! Find participants dressed in their best tweed or vintage attire biking on a four-mile loop throughout downtown St. Pete. Start off the day at the Shuffleboard Club by sipping on hot tea and savoring delicious scones before your bike ride. Upon completion of the loop, riders can head back to the club for fun activities such as swing dancing while enjoying the live music and of course, playing shuffleboard!
