Celebrating its 31st year, the Carson City Ghost Walk takes visitors through Carson City, Nevada’s historic West Side District, featuring Victorian-era architecture and stories of haunts and happenings in the Wild West town. Tours are available now through Oct. 19, 2024 and offer supernatural sightseers the chance to hear spooky stories at historic stops along the Kit Carson Trail including the Ferris House (built in 1863), the Governor’s Mansion (1909), the Bliss Mansion (1879), and other places where apparitions have been sighted.
The 90-minute tours are led by Madame Curry, a historical fiction character named after the widow of Carson City’s founder, Abe Curry, and her Spirit Wranglers. The Carson City Ghost Walk has entertained visitors with tales of the capital city’s rich and intriguing history for 31 years and during this season’s tours, Madame Curry will narrate “Penny Dreadfuls”––the salacious tales of Carson City’s past figures who have reportedly returned from the beyond.
All Carson City Ghost Walk tours depart from the McFadden Plaza, located at 223 W. 3rd St. in downtown Carson City. The 2024 tour schedule is as follows:
