Nevada’s State Capital has experienced quite a renaissance in recent years making Carson City a great place to visit. The fall colors throughout the northern Nevada outdoors, the evolving arts and culture community, and the delicious culinary fare, all add to Carson City’s charm.
During the fall, Carson City gets into the Halloween spirit with a variety of spooky can’t miss attractions. The Halloween-themed Railbike, the Carson City Ghost Walk and Prison Tours are all experiences not to be missed. Fall is a special time of year in Nevada as the state also celebrates Nevada Day, the largest celebration of statehood. This day is made complete with a large parade in Carson City, which takes place the Saturday of Nevada Day Weekend – this year the parade will take place Saturday, Oct. 30.
If Halloween travel isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other experiences to choose from like a train ride on the V&T Railway to nearby Virginia City or a “Nom Voyage.” We’re positive visitors will fall in love with the sagebrush-covered hills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in any or all of our city parks.
