Head to Louisville for the Holiday Season

Lights Under Louisville | Nov. 10 – Jan. 1, 2024

An experience unlike anywhere else in the world, Lights Under Louisville allows families to drive underground through a portion of 17-miles worth of subterranean passageways for its annual holiday celebration. Taking place in the Louisville Mega Cavern, the annual holiday event takes around 30-minutes to drive through and features over 900 lit characters with a variety of themes, a laser-light show, and features over 6.5 million points of light. Roll your car windows down as you ride through the cavern as it stays approximately 58 degrees year-round and is one of the country’s only drivable light shows that you can do during the daytime since it is fully underground.

Paristown’s Fête de Noël | Nov. 24 – Jan. 2

Experience this 6-week Winter village featuring Louisville’s only authentic outdoor ice-skating rink at the newly redeveloped Paristown district. Enjoy a holiday market, outdoor movie nights, photos at Santa’s Workshop, and plenty of hot cocoa to go around. Dine in at the iconic Café or grab a bite at one of the local restaurants inside the Paristown Village Market.

Returning on the first full weekend in December, the Old Louisville Holiday Home Tour gives visitors a rare glimpse inside some of Old Louisville’s historic Victorian mansions and townhouses. Stylishly decorated for the holidays visitors will be able to step inside nine participating mansions. All the homes are located within a four-block radius, making it an easy walking tour, and Docents will greet you as you arrive at each of the homes to explain their architectural and historical significance.
