Holidays in London: The Doyle Collection Unveils Festive Experiences


This winter, The Doyle Collection invites guests to relish the festive season at its three charming London hotels –The Marylebone, The Kensington and The Bloomsbury – packed with bespoke seasonal menus, glittering décor and stylish collaborations with local and artisan businesses. 

 

The Marylebone partners with local artisans and boutiques for a mesmerizing festive display and seasonal cocktails 

The Marylebone's Christmas campaign ‘It Takes a Village’ celebrates the creativity and character of the artisans and independent boutiques within Marylebone Village. Partnering with atelier V V Rouleaux, known for its unparalleled collection of luxurious ribbons, trimmings, and accessories, as well as luxury British chocolatiers Rococo Chocolates and boutique stationers, Caroline Gardner, the hotel will be adorned with three installations:  

  • Two Christmas trees and a charming card-writing station by Caroline Gardner to enable guests to pen Christmas greetings to loved ones, or even a Letter to Santa for the little ones. 

  • The V V Rouleaux installation will feature an intricate metallic flora-inspired tree in burgundy and burnt orange tones, which also features beautiful butterfly brooches inspired by an antique that founder Annabel Lewis encountered in Paris before the company was established in 1990. The butterflies are available to purchase in the store itself.  

  • A striking paired wreath will be prominently positioned over the 108 Brasserie bar, while the Rococo Chocolates' tree will exude nostalgia, with traditional 1950s-style baubles and detailed decorations, as well as assorted gifts beneath the tree wrapped in Rococo’s signature toile print.  

Guests are encouraged to enjoy this festive wonderland while sipping on limited-edition Christmas cocktails including the 108 Sloe Gin Spritz, Rouleaux Royale, Mistletoe Mule and Spiced Chocolate Martini. 

 

The Kensington introduces a cultural Christmas experience in partnership with ‘Discover South Kensington’ 

Each winter, London’s Museum District comes alive. To mark the festive season, The Kensington has partnered with Discover South Kensington to collaborate with four neighboring illustrious institutions: the Design Museum, Science Museum, Leighton House and Kensington Palace. The collaboration will include an illustrated map that highlights the hotel’s location within the city’s cultural quarter and includes several facts relating to the rich history and Christmas traditions which began in this corner of London (including the inception of the Christmas card!). Guests will also receive a series of exclusive offers to enjoy as part of the trail. Mulled wine will be served in the hotel’s reception throughout the season, while cozy cocktails in The K Bar await. Throughout the festive period, Town House will serve festive selections including special menus for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. Those staying on Christmas Eve will receive an indulgent hamper on arrival and stockings brimming with delicious treats like bespoke cookies and baubles. 

 

The Bloomsbury’s showstopping festive events in London’s Theater District 

Located in the heart of London’s Theatreland, guests at The Bloomsbury this holiday season will discover a variety of festivities across its most cherished spaces, from pre-theatre menus to a decadent six-course feast at Dalloway Terrace, and celebrations culminating in a lively New Year’s Eve extravaganza. A collaboration with the hotel’s theatre partners will see guests transported to Miranda Priestly’s dazzling world of high fashion as they enjoy a Devil Wears Prada-themed Runway Afternoon Tea serving all manner of whimsical treats inspired by the musical, from ‘Nates’ grilled cheese’, on the savory side, to patisseries ‘It’s not just blue, it’s cerulean’, a delicious blueberry Greek yogurt mousse and a traditional New York cheesecake, ‘A single cube of cheese’. On Wednesday 27th November, The Bloomsbury will host a choir from the local Hugh Myddelton Primary school, with children aged 7-11 singing a blend of holiday classics and traditional carols. In addition to the myriad festivities, Dalloway Terrace is back with its annual winter installation, this year in partnership with Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto. Featuring a tantalizing cocktail menu created by the hotel’s skilled bar team to celebrate the spirit of aperitivo culture and the joy of being together, guests will sit amidst an enchanting woodland scene of pinecones, festive berries, and natural elements.
