Marriott Hotels in Costa Rica Offer New Free Cultural and Adventure Experiences

Marriott International hotels await travelers in Costa Rica with experiences that will bring them closer to the local culture, adventure and natural wealth that characterizes this Central American country, so that during their visit they can not only relax but also enjoy the unique characteristics of each Costa Rican destination.

Near the country's main airport, Juan Santamaria, Costa Rica Marriott Hacienda Belen located in the central part of the Pacific coast, launched the Taste of Place program, which includes tastings where guests can learn about honey, coffee and chocolate, as well as participating in workshops with local artists, at no additional cost.

To carry out these experiences, the hotels joined forces with small national companies who develop innovative products in an artisanal way, such is the case of Organikos and Pollen Keepers.

In the afternoons, guests are guided by experts during a tasting of products from the national brand Organikos, representing the main coffee growing regions of Costa Rica, as well as four individual farms, each with a unique flavor that reflects the soil, the weather and post-harvest processing styles unique to those locations. This company is characterized by investing all its profits in the regeneration of the bird's habitat.

During the honey tasting sessions, honey is tasted by a small national company: Pollen Keepers, run by a Costa Rican family with a long history of beekeeping, including coffee flower honey and various infusions, all with a unique essence of Costa Rica.

In addition to the gastronomic activities, there are face-to-face and virtual workshops with artists from the Wagat Cooperative, who produce pieces of great beauty from recycled material. The class is taught by a group of women whose motto is "Your garbage, our raw material", who shape pieces of jewelry as well as other items.

It is an attraction to enjoy the dry forest from the ground to the air through trails, an 8-wire canopy circuit, a Tibetan bridge and tree climbing. This activity can be booked upon arrival at the hotel.
