The Mount Airy Foundation, the charitable arm of Mount Airy Casino Resort, is pleased to announce a $10,000 donation to the newly formed Pocono PRIDE Coalition, an outgrowth of the popular Pocono PRIDE Festival.
“Supporting our neighbors has always been an important component of Mount Airy Casino Resort,” said Lisa DeNaples, Mount Airy owner and managing trustee. “I’m especially proud of our commitment to nonprofits in the surrounding community and in our efforts to embrace and celebrate our region’s diversity.”
The Mount Airy Foundation was established in 2007 with the purpose of making charitable contributions in Monroe County and the surrounding region for the benefit of the local community. Since its inception, the Mount Airy Foundation has donated more than $1 million in cash grants, in-kind and merchandise donations, and corporate sponsorships to nonprofit organizations throughout the Poconos and Northeast Pennsylvania.
"On behalf of the entire Pocono PRIDE Coalition, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Mount Airy Foundation for their incredibly generous donation. Your support is instrumental in our mission to foster a safer, healthier, and more inclusive community for all. With your contribution, we can continue to make a positive impact and empower individuals to thrive. Thank you for believing in our cause and for your commitment to making a difference in the Pocono region. Together, we are creating a brighter future for generations to come," said Michael Moreno, Pocono PRIDE Coalition board member and co-founder of the Pocono PRIDE Festival.
