Brand new Hampton Inn & Suites in South Lake Tahoe is just off the main road, less than a mile from the beach, Heavenly Village, and Heavenly Gondola; 5 minutes from hiking trails and 20 minutes from ski slopes. It will offer ski and bike storage with lockers, a lobby bar, a heated patio, a hot tub, and a fire pit. It is scheduled to open in May of 2022.
Edgewood Tahoe is now taking reservations for their new luxury villas beginning in September 2022. The first two buildings of Phase One, fronting the eighth and ninth fairways of the golf course, will be open. The private units will include villa suites with configurations of four two-bedrooms, two three-bedrooms, and one five-bedroom with a den. Two additional units scheduled for completion in summer 2023 will expand the offerings to showcase a pair of two-bedroom, four three-bedroom, and one four-bedroom villa suites.
The new way of experiencing the lake from its waters will be on a 75-foot long yacht, Spirit of Tahoe. A 133 passenger boat will visit lake destinations such as Emerald Bay and the East Shore. It will feature two full bars, a snack bar on the upper deck, and a state-of-the-art, full color, three-dimensional sonar that can see all the way to the bottom of the lake, even at its deepest point of over 1600 feet. Spirit of Tahoe will be offering daily public cruises starting this year that will be departing from Ski Run Marina, located in the center of South Lake Tahoe.
