Pride Journeys Property Spotlight: The Shore House, Narragansett, Rhode Island

The Shore House — a historic, boutique inn situated directly on the beach in Narragansett, Rhode Island — has announced its soon-to-be completed property-wide refresh set to open on May 1, 2021. Formerly the Ocean Rose Inn, The Shore House will debut with a new name and an updated look that pays homage to the rich history of the destination, featuring nine recently renovated rooms, all with king-sized beds, glass-walled rainfall showers, hardwood floors and marble vanities. The Shore House will also feature an onsite restaurant called Sea Craft, which pays respect to the provenance of New England cuisine but with a unique spin on classic seafood dishes.

The seaside New England town of Narragansett is a haunt for Northeasterners looking for a weekend getaway road trip, especially one that is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the region’s metropolises. The town is known for its charming and historic nature, its beaches and perfect surf, and sporting boutiques and waterfront seafood restaurants. Historical landmarks in Narragansett include the Point Judith Lighthouse and Point Judith Fisherman's Memorial, The Towers and the Black Point Ruins. Some must-do's for visitors include hiking the Black Point Trail, taking the ferry to nearby Block Island, enjoying the town's stunning beaches including Narragansett Town Beach, fishing charters out of Narragansett Harbor, having a drink at the Coast Guard House and more.
