Queer Travel Chat Podcast Debuts First Season

Queer Travel Chat by Two Bad Tourists is joining the lineup of podcasts available for listeners to add to their favorite weekly shows. The hosts, David and Auston from Two Bad Tourists, will discuss a wide range of topics related to LGBT+ travel just as the name suggests. The pair have been traveling since 2012 and have visited more than 60 countries while sharing their adventures and offering advice on their website and on social media.

The podcast will be launched on January 18th exclusively on Callin, a new social podcasting app. This new concept features live-recorded episodes on the Callin app. Listeners are encouraged to call in to participate in the conversation along with the hosts. The episode is then published after the live show and is available for listening on the app like a traditional podcast.

“Callin is thrilled to welcome David and Auston to the creator family. We admire the Two Bad Tourists brand and all the work they’ve done around LGBT+ travel. Their unique voice and perspective will be a great addition to the Callin community, and we’re excited to provide a platform that facilitates more personal engagement between creators and their audiences. We can't wait to tune in!” Axel Ericsson, co-founder and CTO of Callin.

Listeners can expect episodes about awesome destinations and events, conversations with LGBT+ owned travel businesses, as well as unique travel stories and discussions on travel trends. The episodes will air weekly with David and Auston recording live from their home base in Madrid or while abroad as they travel to new places.

“We’re really excited to use this unique format on Callin,” says David, co-founder of Two Bad Tourists. The platform gives us the opportunity to discuss a wide range of topics with diverse viewpoints by sharing stories from guest speakers. The great thing about Callin is that it allows us to talk directly to our listeners for much more personal and immediate interaction. We’ll also get the chance to interview the people behind some amazing LGBT+ owned travel businesses located in various parts of the world.”

Listen live and join the conversation on their debut episode of Queer Travel Chat on Tuesday, January 18th at 1 pm ET (7 pm CET) by downloading the Callin app on your phone (currently available on iOS only) and subscribing to the show.

Two Bad Tourists is a travel blog created in 2012 by David Brown and Auston Matta. Former husbands and now best friends and travel companions, they sold all their belongings after a bout with cancer and left their lives in the US to travel the world. Now living in Madrid, they continue to run their blog sharing stories, useful tips, and practical resources for LGBT+ travelers. They’re partnering with Callin to launch Queer Travel Chat as their first podcast, adding it to their repertoire including their travel website, email newsletter, social media channels and their hosted gay group trips in Europe.

I'm thrilled about the debut of the Queer Travel Chat Podcast's first season! It's a fantastic platform for sharing travel experiences and tips specifically from a queer perspective. It's like having the opportunity to chat with strangers who share your interests and can offer valuable insights. Platforms like Camgo emphasize the importance of community and transparency, much like this podcast aims to do by creating a space where queer travelers can connect and feel understood. Listening to these episodes will not only inspire new travel adventures but also foster a sense of belonging and support within the LGBTQ+ community. I can't wait to tune in!
