Bardstown, the celebrated “Bourbon Capital of the World,” is elevating its iconic Bardstown Collection with an exciting change: moving to an every-other-year release model. This new schedule, starting in 2026, will give distillers additional time to enhance their expressions and craft exceptional bourbons, offering enthusiasts even more remarkable tasting experiences in the future.
Introduced in 2022, The Bardstown Collection sees several of the destination’s best distilleries coming together to produce a highly limited, one-of-a-kind bourbon series, available only in Bardstown. Last year, the Collection’s grand unveiling took place during the first annual National Bourbon Week in June 2024, a citywide celebration of the rich heritage and craftsmanship behind America’s native spirit.
“The decision to move to a biennial release model follows the overwhelming success of the Bardstown Collection, which has quickly grown into one of the most coveted bourbon series in the industry,” said Stacey Phelps, President of Visit Bardstown. “With this shift, participating distilleries will have more time to age their offerings, fine-tune their unique blends, and explore innovative techniques to further elevate the quality and depth of their products.”
The next release of the Bardstown Collection will take place during National Bourbon Week in June 2026, continuing the tradition of limited-edition bottles and unrivaled craftsmanship. The 2026 release will also see the inclusion of new distilleries, expanding the already stellar lineup of Bardstown’s finest bourbon makers.
In the meantime, bourbon lovers need not wait to experience Bardstown’s renowned spirit culture. Visitors to Bardstown can continue to enjoy offerings from the participating distilleries—Bardstown Bourbon Company, Heaven Hill Distillery, James B. Beam Distilling Co., Lux Row Distillers, Limestone Branch Distillery, Log Still Distillery, and Preservation Distillery + Farm—along with the many other distinguished distilleries in the area.
