Deep Tropics, renowned for its celebration of culture, community, and sustainability, is thrilled to announce its 2024 partnership with Virgin Hotels Nashville for the fourth consecutive year.
This collaboration aims to deliver an extraordinary and environmentally conscious experience for Nashville locals and visitors in the months leading up to the festival through the festival’s popular ‘Waveclub’ parties at Virgin Hotels Nashville’s breathtaking rooftop venue, The Pool Club. These pre-festival celebrations will feature a reusable cup and zero-waste program, integrating recycling and composting initiatives to minimize environmental impact and inspire greener lifestyles among attendees.
As the official home for Deep Tropics artists, crew, and attendees during the festival weekend, Virgin Hotels Nashville will yet again serve as the epicenter of excitement and sustainability. Throughout the festival weekend, attendees can expect an array of pop-up events and surprise programming at Virgin Hotels Nashville, further enhancing the overall festival experience.
Deep Tropics promises an exceptional experience with an outstanding lineup and captivating stage designs across three immersive stages: "Meru," "Lotus," and "Congo Soundsystem." Renowned artists like Kaskade, RL Grime, Sofi Tukker, Peekaboo, Nora En Pure, Tape B, and Zingara, along with 30+ more artists soon to be announced, are all poised to take the stage.
Beyond the music, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in enriching dialogues on topics such as regenerative agriculture, sustainable fashion, renewable energy, and holistic wellness practices. The festival provides a platform for fostering connections and sharing knowledge, empowering attendees to become agents of positive change within their communities. From thought-provoking discussions to immersive experiences like yoga, meditation, and sound healing, Deep Tropics offers a holistic approach to community-building and personal growth. It's a gathering where individuals come together not only to celebrate music but also to cultivate a deeper sense of belonging and collective responsibility towards a more sustainable and harmonious future.
Through Deep Culture, Deep Tropics has successfully diverted the majority of festival waste from landfills and achieved remarkable diversion rates as high as 96%. The Carbon footprint is offset through global and local tree-planting initiatives. 2024 partnerships include Ancient Nutrition's R.A.N.C.H. Project, Trees for The Future, Tennessee Riverkeeper and of course the wonderful team at Bicentennial Capitol State Park.
Sustainability remains a major focus for Virgin Hotels Nashville as well. As a part of this effort, the hotel actively measures how efficient their buildings are by using platforms focused on reducing their energy, water consumption, and carbon footprint. Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations is a guiding principle behind every decision the brand makes. These ongoing green efforts are further highlighted by Virgin Hotels Nashville’s achievement of LEED Silver certification.
Deep Tropics and Virgin Hotels Nashville represents a longstanding partnership that brings together two industry leaders in sustainability. By combining innovative programming, eco-conscious practices, and a passion for music, this collaboration sets a new standard for festivals and highlights the potential for harmonizing entertainment and environmental responsibility.
