Another winter favorite and one of the most anticipated February traditions is the U.P. 200, an event that stands as one of America's premier mid-distance sled dog races featuring 12-dog teams. This thrilling race commences in Downtown Marquette and embarks on a 230-mile journey to Grand Marais before retracing its path back to Marquette along the same trail. From February 15 to 19, 2024 you can witness the remarkable spectacle of dogs and their determined mushers navigating Marquette's enchanting winter landscape, creating an experience like no other.
