Winter Wonderland: Austin, Texas




Peppermint Parkway is a drive-thru holiday experience, held November 25-December 30, 2022 at Circuit of The Americas, complete with millions of twinkling lights synchronized to holiday songs, dancing elves and an appearance by Santa.


The 58th Annual Trail of Lights is part of the essential Austin experience, lighting up the season with a celebration of community, memories and fun. This year, the Austin Trail of Lights will return to its traditional, in-person format. Don’t miss it December 8 - 23, 2022 (closed Mondays).


Debuting at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Bruce Munro’s Field of Light is an immersive exhibition that explores the intersection of art, technology and nature. Open through December 31. 2022.


The annual Downtown Holiday Stroll returns this December with free, family-friendly activities to celebrate the season throughout the month. Visit downtown Austin for holiday festivities like the holiday shopping passport, pop-ups, appearances by Mr. & Mrs. Claus, holiday window and light displays and the signature 45-foot downtown tree.


The whole family will be mesmerized by the magic of “The Nutcracker,” presented by Ballet Austin with live accompaniment from the Austin Symphony Orchestra, December 3-23, 2022 at The Long Center.


ZACH Theater is bringing back its uplifting production of “A Christmas Carol,” featuring all-new music, from November 16 through December 31, 2022.


It’s always Christmas at Lala’s Little Nugget, where the holiday decorations are up all year round and tunes are blasted from a vintage jukebox.
