Winter Wonderland: Oklahoma

In Oklahoma, towns and cities show their holiday spirit by putting up beautiful Christmas light displays, and light shows synchronized to festive holiday music. Some of the best displays in the state can be seen by visiting Kingfisher, Woodward, Muskogee, or Elk City. A multitude of lights, horse-drawn carriage rides, hot chocolate, and other activities make Chickasha's Festival of Light one of the country's top 10 holiday light displays. Enid is home to American's Tallest Christmas Tree, a marvelous sight to see.

Explore the Bricktown Canal in OKC during the Christmas season to see the beautiful lights and decorated trees, or take a stroll through the holiday market and take a horse-drawn carriage ride through Tulsa's festive celebration, which includes live entertainment. Or, venture to the Oklahoma City Zoo for Safari Lights. We also have huge celebrations like Opening Night in Oklahoma City to ring in the New Year. Downtown Oklahoma City comes alive with live entertainment, fireworks and family activities. Or, join Oklahoma State Parks for their annual First Day Hikes.
